PIEPOWDER POEMS
ISBN 978-0-9935462-3-5
In earler times the Piepowder Court settled disputes between itinerant tradespeople and their customers at markets and fairs. The word Piepowder itself iderives from the French pied-poudreux, meaning ‘dusty-footed’; an apt title for this vagrant trail of poetic footprints.
In a sense every poem is, by definition, a travel poem. But leaving metaphysics aside, whether it concerns inner journeys or not a poem has to be written somewhere, and unless you stay in the same location all your life then you are moreorless bound to write travel poems.
